AP-Panchayat-Elections-in-Three-Months-Will-Decide-Fate-of-the-PartiesHyderabad High Court has ordered Andhra Pradesh Government to have Panchayat Elections in three months. If elections are conducted in AP as per the court order, the elections will happen a few months before the 2019 Assembly and General Elections. It happened similarly before the 2014 elections as well but then, YSR Congress got a stay on the election results.

The court back then issued a stay on the results saying that they may influence the voters in the Assembly elections. It has to be seen what happens this time. The results if out will reflect the mood of the people ahead of the 2019 Assembly Elections. The traditional parties – TDP and YSR Congress could evaluate where they stand.

Janasena will face the first test in the form of these elections and BJP will see if their argument of Modi doing so much but TDP Government is misusing the funds will be bought by the people. If not for some good results, Janasena will be out of contention for 2019 Elections.

So, this will be an interesting wait. Back in 2014, the Telugu Desam Party had swept both the Panchayat and Municipal Elections held just before the elections. If at all, the results got released before the elections, it would have been a massive sweep for TDP in the Assembly Elections.
