Despite being in the middle of a Lockdown for around two weeks, Andhra Pradesh continues to be in Corona Danger Zone. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Andhra Pradesh is the fifth worst-affected state in the country.
The state has around 2.1 Lakh active cases which are the fifth highest in the country only after Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. The country is witnessing a decrease in terms of overall new cases for the last 15 days. It is not the case for AP.
But then, Andhra Pradesh is consistently clocked more than 20,000 new cases every day. The deaths have also increased and for more than a week, there have been more than 100 cases every single day. “The government has completely failed to handle the crisis. Complete Lockdown is the only way forward. This Government is keeping lives at stake for the sake of money,” Former CM Chandrababu alleged.
“AP is not the worst-affected state, it is the worst-handled state. The Government is further doing caste politics on vaccines,” Chandrababu added.
