Chandrababu naidu strict rulesAndhra Pradesh government is finally gearing up for the final Brahmastra for land pooling. The government is all set to announce the land of Penumaka, Tadepalli and Undavalli as Green Belt villages and exempt them from the land pooling of the capital. Those lands under the ‘Green Belt’ can not be used for any commercial purposes.

This will be applicable for the next 26 years which means these villages have to continue agriculture in those lands and can not convert the lands for any real estate purposes. This rule will mean that these villages will not be enjoying the proximity of the capital benefit for the next 26 years. This may be detrimental to farmers in other way also. Due to the rapid industrialization going to take place in the capital villages, the lands may not be as fertile as now.

So, this move by the government may force the farmers in the villages to come forward to give their lands. This move of government even if taken as pushing force on farmers, can not be countered as these villages people were repeatedly telling that they will do farming in these lands which yield 3 crops per year. And the government is asking them to do exactly the same. The proposal of the ‘Green Belt’ will be sent to the Central government very soon. The recent fire incidents in these villages have seen allegations on the government that it is forcing farmers indirectly, with this proposal government is sending a signal that it is no desperate for these lands.
