Sometimes bureaucracy can be ineffective and as well as insensitive. An example of that has happened in Kakinada, East Godavari. Most of the deaths occurring due to COVID-19 are unexpected and sudden. They leave the families in deep grief.
The Government does not even allow the bodies to be taken home due to COVID protocols. One death has occurred in Kakinada. A person called Veerababu had passed away due to the COVID-19. The family is shellshocked and is mourning over the loss.
Four days after the death, an SMS has come to Veerababu’s mobile. It says Veerababu is doing well and the condition is stable. The officials may brush it off easily saying it is a Technical error etc but it will cause so much agony for the family members. Officials need to be very careful in such issues.
On the other side, COVID cases in Andhra Pradesh are increasing at a rapid pace. According to the medical bulletin last evening, the state has clocked 17,354 cases and 64 deaths. The contagious virus has taken close to 8,000 deaths already.
