The speculations regarding the Andhra Pradesh’s next capital did not subside even after Chief Minister’s announcement. Chandra Babu let the rat race with an ambigious statement that capital will be near Vijayawada. Mangalagiri, Nuzividu, Amaravathi are currently rumoured to be the exact locations. And now sources say Andhra Pradesh Assembly and secretariat may come up in Adavi Nekkalam. It is said that there are 1000 acres of government land in Adavi Nekkalam making it an obvious choice.
The place is also convenient in other ways since it is just 20 Kms away from Gannavaram airport and 20 Kms away from Vijayawada city. Chandra Babu wants to deploy the best architects in the World for the design of Assembly and Secretariat since they will be heritage centers for several 100s of years. He wants the architecture of these buildings to resemble our heritage and culture.Since AP Assembly has a temporary arrangement in Hyderabad, Chandra Babu wants to take enough time in building these structures.
