Election Commission of India will be issuing the notification of Andhra Pradesh Assembly on March 3rd. The elections for Seema Andhra and Telangana will be done in two phases. Seema Andhra will go for elections in the first phase and Telangana in the second phase. The entire election process is expected to take place between April 10th and 20th. The results of the elections will be out in the first or second week of May.
Telangana Bill has to be passed in both the houses of Parliament and President has to notify the state division in gazette before March 3rd for the elections to take place in separate states. There is also a talk that if the state is divided, the elections may be postponed since constituencies had to be reorganized. In such case the state is divided, the elections in common state last happened in 2009.
