Cash-strapped Andhra Pradesh seems to be heading towards one more financial crisis. Andhra Pradesh is staring at 10000 Crore Revenue Deficit by the end of this fiscal. The government is struggling to make money and the income is much lower than the estimates.
And at the same time, the expenditure is more towards salaries, pensions, and various welfare schemes. The income of the state from various sources is likely to be 5000 Crore less than the estimate while the share in central taxes will be 2000 Crore less.
The government has 50000 Crore bills pending and out of which, 10000 Crore have to be settled immediately. Central Government which has promised hand holding to the state after bifurcation has completely evaded it naming technicalities.
