Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu put up the budget for 2016-17 in AP Assembly a short while ago. For the first time, the budget is given in electronic format. All the members of the house were given tabs through which they can access the budget. For the convenience of the members, the budget is provided in both Telugu and English.
However the government still made available the printed copies of the budget to those members who wants it. Recently, Central government stopped giving away printed copies of Budget and only gave the e-versions of the budget in a bid to save paper. It would have been better it AP government also stopped the printed version.
On the other side, the budget of Andhra Pradesh stands at 1,35,688.99 Crore for 2016-17. This is the third budget of TDP government after winning the 2014 elections. Yanamala Ramakrishnudu presented all the three budgets as the Finance Minister. Like the last year, the government is also putting up a separate budget for agriculture.
