AP Posts The Biggest Dissent of A State Against the Center in Independent India?Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had taken one more step of dissent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The State Government has revoked the Prior Approval given to the CBI to conduct raids here. Going forward, CBI has to seek the Permission of the Home Ministry of Andhra Pradesh if it has to raid here.

Normally unless the state government asks through the Center or unless the courts ask CBI can not raid or investigate anyone. But it has jurisdiction over Central Employees working anywhere in the state. Now, CBI will lose access to raid any central government employee working in Andhra Pradesh.

Going forward, the ACB of Andhra Pradesh will investigate the cases pertaining to the Central Government officials. Naidu has taken this decision in the wake of CBI losing its credibility as seen in the last few days. It will also keep check to the Central Officials who are aiding the Political Vendetta of the Central Government, Naidu feels.

Andhra Pradesh may be the first state in the history of Independent India to take such a decision. More states may follow this decision in the coming days. Naidu has certainly irked the Bosses in the Central Government and it has to be seen how they respond to this checkmate from Andhra Pradesh Government.
