Andhra Pradesh Loses 70000 Crore Mega Project to Telangana?Reports in a few media houses suggest that Adani Group which has committed to setting up a Mega Data Center Infrastructure in Vishakapatnam has now moved it to Hyderabad, Telangana. The Adani Group had signed an MoU with the AP government in January with a committed investment of Rs 70,000 crore for the next 20 years.

Under this MoU, the company had planned to set up three green data centers and a 5 GW solar park. The $13 billion integrated business conglomerate changed its plan after the Chandrababu Naidu government was voted out in the recent elections.

Back then, as per the detailed project report (DPR), the company said it would provide over one lakh both direct and indirect jobs at the data center park in Vizag in a phased manner. Adani Group partnered with San Francisco-based Digital Realty, the world’s leading global provider of the data center, colocation, and interconnection solutions for the execution of this Project.

It has to be seen how Andhra Pradesh Government responds to this.
