YS Jagan Andhra Pradesh Three CapitalsUnion Government tabled the budget for 2021-22 in the Parliament earlier this month and on expected lines, there is absolutely nothing for Andhra Pradesh. There are politicians who stayed absolutely mum and there are politicians who spoke about it just for the sake of speaking.

The bottom line is AP got nothing and there is nothing we could do about it. Before we blame someone, we may have to blame ourselves for this month. A state which has no clarity about its own capital can not crib about anything else. AP had one capital during Chandrababu Naidu‘s regime.

Later three capitals were announced but the issue is still in the courts. We know have three capitals which are not legally recognized and one capitals which the government does not recognize. So, when we are ourselves in such a mess, we can not expect the center to co-operate.

Moreover, Andhra Pradesh is splurging money on freebies while ignoring the creation of basic infrastructure and development. The road ahead is more tough than what we can imagine. The government needs to shift focus on alternate ways of revenue creation to take the state forward or else a big trouble awaits us. We should solve the capital issue first more than anything else.
