Andhra Pradesh has managed to keep up its Rank One in Ease of Doing Business Rankings for 2019. Telangana which has been Ranked Second last year slipped one spot and is in the third position now. Andhra Pradesh has ranked Second in the 2015 Rankings when they were first introduced while managed to claim the Top Spot in the subsequent years.
Telangana was ranked thirteenth in 2015 and managed the Second Position in 2018 rankings. The state slipped one position this year. The states were ranked under 187 parameters and Users Feedback was also given 100% weightage this time.
36 States/UTs have participated in the implementation of State Business Reform Action Plan 2019. State Business Reform Action Plan 2019 is aimed at improving the business environment in States by simplifying procedures, digitization of information, and easing the compliance burden.
India is one of the few Countries which has Sub-National Ranking, Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India has been ranking States since 2015 on the basis of implementation of the State Business Reform Action Plan
