It looks like Andhra Pradesh Government seems to have different priorities while the entire world is gripping in Coronavirus fear. The Government batted for the Local Elections and even knocked on the door of the Supreme Court but without any luck. Now, the Government is pulling strings to the early shift of the capital.
The Government activated its favorable associations in Secretariat Staff. They have conducted a meeting a short while ago and appealed to the Government that the Capital Shift should happen before May 31st. They informed the Government that the shift after the academic year begins will pose problems.
Amaravati farmers are suspecting that the Government is doing this now only with some hidden agenda. The Three Capitals bill was pending in the council as it was referred to the Select Committee while the State Assembly moved a bill to abolish the council.
But the council will exist as long as the bill to abolish the council is passed in the Parliament and gets assent. There are also few petitions pending in the Honorable High Court over the issue. It has to be seen what the Government does.
