Andhra pradesh Government to look beyond Centeral government helpAndhra Pradesh government seem to have decided to look beyond the assistance of Center which is being non-cooperative to the state in all possible ways. The Finance Minister, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu clarified on the assistance being received from the Central government. He read out all the meager assistance made by the Center so far.

And also reminded how crucial promises like bridging the over 13000 Crore revenue deficit, Special Package to Backward districts and Special Status are not addressed till date. Yanamala further went to make allocations to Polavaram and Amaravathi Construction even though the Center is constitutionally bound to fund those.

Polavaram Project was allocated 3660 Crore while Center just allocated 100 Crore for the project. Amaravathi was allocated 1500 Crore in the state budget while Center did not give a single rupee. This 1500 Crore can be used as an equity by CRDA and bring in more money from outside markets. The state government sent a feeler that it will wait some time for the center to move but at the same time will move forward with available resources.
