AP-Government's-Moves-to-Redress-Uddanam-IssueAfter Jana Sena pointed out at the Chronic Kidney Diseases in Uddanam, the state government is moving swiftly to address the issues. Since solving the issue permanently needs a long-term solution, the government has focused on short-term measures to relieve the people suffering.

The government had decided to supply treated water to 106 villages in the region. Four RO Plants will be set up in the area and water for these plants will be coming from Mahendrathanaya, a tributary of Vamsadhara river. They are likely to be set up in Kanchali-Sompeta, Palasa, Vajrapukothuru and Kaviti.

An experts team was deployed to finalize the DPR for this project. It will begin once their final report is submitted. The state government had also appointed a committee of experts to find out the reason behind this mysterious disease.

The committee will be headed by T. Ravi Raju, the Vice-Chancellor of NTR Health University. The G.O. for the appointing of the Seven members committee was given on Monday and they will begin their work very soon. It is good to see Pawan Kalyan giving necessary voice to the problem and the government reacting to it instantaneously.
