Andhra Pradesh Government has canceled the Transfer Orders of ACB Director General AB Venkateswara Rao. His transfer orders were canceled by the government since Intelligence DG post does not comes under Election Commission’s Purview. The Transfers of Superintendents of Kadapa and Srikakulam will stay put.
On the other side, Andhra Pradesh Government filed a Lunch Motion Petition in the high court on the issue and the issue will be taken up by the court tomorrow. The court asked the Election Commission to come up with concrete reasons behind these Transfers. YSR Congress has been repeatedly complaining about the DGP and Intelligence AG working for the Government.
The Election Commission Transferring AB Venkateswara Rao on their demand and transferring Kadapa SP who is overseeing the case of YS Viveka Murder has drawn criticism. TDP is alleging that Transfering Intelligence DG when the Z+ Category VIP like Chandrababu is canvassing in the state is quite dangerous.
