Andhra Pradesh Goes Below Uttar Pradesh in Attracting InvestmentsAndhra Pradesh which used to compete in Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) with major states like Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra during Chandrababu Naidu‘s time seems to be struggling in the last year with the Government fully focusing only on freebies.

According to the figures released by the Central Government, the state ranked twelfth in the state-wise FDI Equity inflows from October 2019 to June 2020. The state could just manage a paltry 1652.31 Crore.
Maharashtra and Karnataka are in the Top Two Positions.

Andhra Pradesh just managed around 10-12% of what a small state like Jharkhand (19192.29 Crore) managed. Telangana is much ahead of AP ranked Seventh with 9044.7 Crore. Andhra Pradesh could not even manage a quarter of what the neighboring state did it.

Even Uttar Pradesh which is commonly known as a Bimaru state is ahead of Andhra Pradesh with 2499.25 Crore (Tenth Position). It’s high time, the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government focuses on bringing new investments to create jobs.
