Andhra Pradesh Financial Condition in Deep MessThe Financial Health of Andhra Pradesh is quickly failing. While the income and expenditures are expected to increase year on year, this year the incomes are falling while Expenditure is on a quick rise. The First Eight Months of the current fiscal indicate that this year is far behind the last year.

Till November-end, the income of Andhra Pradesh Government has arrived at 98,790 Crore while during the same time in the last fiscal, the Government income was around 1,08,700.45 Crore. When compared to last year, the State registered income 10,000 Crore less. A Majority of the loss is due to the decrease in Central Taxes.

The Government is mostly confined to paying salaries, Pensions, Interests, Government Maintenance, and Various Welfare Schemes. The expenditure on various irrigation projects and infrastructural projects is only nominal this year. With Polavaram also stopped, not even one irrigation scheme was allotted decent funds.

Things are going to get worse as the Government is gearing up to major schemes like Amma Vodi from this month. Its high time Jagan Mohan Reddy Government pull up the socks and take remedial measures. Mere focus on Welfare Schemes will ruin the state and the coming years are going to be even tough.
