Andhra-Pradesh-Empty-Handed-After-Union-Budget,-All-Eyes-on-YS-JaganThe Union Budget tabled by Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman a little while ago has thoroughly disappointed both the Telugu States. The Budget which is the first in PM Narendra Modi’s Second Term did not have any specific allocations for the States. Very few pending projects have received funds but they are also meager.

This is not anything new and is very much on cards. The last couple of budgets are more or less the same. Telangana had totally let go hopes on any Special Assistance from the Central Government after the first couple of budgets but Andhra Pradesh continued first due to TDP being in NDA and now after YSR Congress’ cordial relations with the Center.

This budget would trouble YSR Congress big time as the Opposition will corner reminding the people about Jagan’s courageous statement about taming the Central Government if give 20 Plus MP Seats. Andhra Pradesh Assembly recently moved a resolution seeking the Special Status to the State.

With 151 MLA seats and 23 MP seats, YSR Congress owns the complete responsibility in getting the bifurcation promises executed. After pressurizing the previous government for resignations and No Confidence Motion, it has to be seen what Jagan does now.
