andhra pradesh employees moving to amaravti from hyderabadAndhra Pradesh government seem to be very serious in shifting its administration to Amaravati as soon as possible. KS Jawahar Reddy Committee which was appointed to prepare a blueprint for the shifting of employees, had given its recommendations to shift 22000 government staffers from Hyderabad to Vijayawada and Amaravati.

A total of around one lakh people (a rough estimate of employees plus their family members) will move out of Hyderabad to Vijayawada and Guntur over the next two months. The committee had arrived at a conclusion that government had to create about 30 lakh square feet space to provide accommodation for them.

The government has about five lakh square feet space in its possession in Guntur and Vijayawada. The government will also work out on basic infrastructure like hospitals, education institutions, supermarkets, rythu bazars and social activity infrastructure which would take more than two years. The government will now be preparing a roadmap for shifting as each department has to issue separate orders to its employees to move to Vijayawada and Guntur.
