Andhra Pradesh Assembly will begin its operations in Velagapudi from the third week of this month. Assembly Secretariat will function from the buildings constructed in the Interim Assembly Complex in Velagapudi. Assembly Secretary gave official instructions about the shift.
MLC Elections will happen in March and the Nominations for those elections will be taken in Velagapudi Assembly itself. The nominations will be accepted from 20th of this month. The upcoming Budget session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly will take place in Velagapudi itself.
This will go down into the history books as the first Assembly session in Andhra Pradesh post the state bifurcation. The Assembly buildings and the facilities inside are ultra modern and much advanced from those available in Hyderabad.
