Andhra Pradesh Assembly Expenses 10446 Rs Per Minute, 31 Lakhs Per dayAndhra Pradesh Assembly has shifted from Hyderabad to Amaravati but things did not change much even in the ultramodern facility. The opposition is keen on cornering the government somehow and score brownie points with the people by hook or crook and the government as usually will defend themselves.

But in the process, all that people are getting is that assembly remains in din for days together pushing the public money to drain. Andhra Pradesh government is spending a whopping 114 Crore for running the show in Assembly and Council.

For every minute, Assembly and Council sessions will cost 10446 Rupees while 31,33,849 is the cost per day. All this is public money but then political parties use the time to push their own agenda leaving the actual issues aside.

Adding insult to injury, we occasionally see unruly behaviour from members like Roja and Chevireddy which will put the people who elected them to shame. But then asking for responsible behaviour from politicians has become a big ask in modern democracy.
