Andhra-Pradesh-Announces-Lockdown,-Exams-To-Go-As-PlannedAndhra Pradesh Government also announced a Lockdown till the 31st of this month to combat Coronavirus scare. All borders of AP will be lockdown and all public transport will be non-operational during this period. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy requested the people not to venture out during this period.

“All essential services and essential commercial establishments will function as usual while the others will close down. There will be strict vigil against hoarding and the increase in prices. All the prices will be publicized in Newspapers and those hiking the prices will have to go to jail. A toll-free number will be set up to take such complaints,” Jagan said.

The only objectionable thing is that the Government wants to conduct SSC and other examinations as per the schedule. This will still pose a risk of infection. In Telangana, the issue reached High Court and the court ordered canceling of all the exams.

The Government announced the ration for next month to be given on the 29th of this month itself for BPL families. They will also get one Kg dal for every ration card. All the BPL families will be given 1000 Rupees by the Grama Volunteers to purchase the essentials since their livelihood will be disturbed due to the lockdown. The state government will spend 1500 Crore for this.
