BV Satyavathi got the YSR Congress Anakapalli MP ticket in 2019 and got elected on her first attempt itself. She was a good gynecologist and got a good name in the area due to her focus on natural pregnancies.
While she actively participates in the Parliament sessions, she completely lags in local politics. Jagan Mohan Reddy feels it is not safe to have her as the MP candidate as a passive candidate for MP will impact all the assembly segments under the Parliament.
Attempts are already in to replace her. Senior leaders Karnam Dharmasri and Deputy CM Muthyala Naidu are in contention to replace her. The high command is asking Sathyavathi to go to Anakapalli Assembly.
Anakapalli assembly is an extremely unsafe seat because Minister Gudivada Amar, the sitting MLA feels the seat is unsafe and is looking to shift to Yalamanchili.
Former Minister Dhadi Veerabhadra Rao and Gavara Corporation Chairman Bodeda Prasad are also expecting Anakapalli MLA tickets. They are likely to work against Satyavathi in case she gets the ticket.
Furthermore, Satyavathi is not much interested in regional politics and feels Parliament is more suited for her.
