Amit Shah's Plan To Checkmate KCR?BJP made enough noise in Telangana politics with the stunning results in the Dubbaka by-election and the GHMC elections. But then, they lost all the steam with disastrous results in the MLC elections, Nagarjunasagar by-poll, and the Municipal elections. The party needs some push to show their previous victories are no fluke.

They are banking on defections for that. Recently ousted Minister Etela Rajender is expected to resign for TRS and his MLA position later today and will be joining BJP the next week. Reports are that former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy met BJP Vice-President DK Aruna at a private farmhouse on Thursday.

Konda is also likely to join BJP sooner or later. The saffron party wants to stay in the limelight in one way or the other by inducting leaders from other parties at regular intervals. BJP will certainly get the much-needed push if they also win the by-election in Huzurabad which will fall vacant after Etela’s resignation.

Party insiders say this is a plan inked by Amit Shah himself after he felt the party is losing the hard-earned momentum in Telangana.
