Amid A Health Crisis, AP Junior Doctors Boycott DutiesAndhra Pradesh is in the middle of an unprecedented crisis with Coronavirus threatening the state. The state is recording a minimum of 10,000 cases per day. And on the other side, Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors Association (APJUDA) have decided to boycott their duties.

They say they are left with no options after they received no response from the state government on their demands. The Junior doctors have boycotted both the out-patient and ward duties. They are currently not boycotting COVID-19 duties and emergency duties.

“If our demands fall on deaf ears and if we don’t get a response from the authorities, then we will be forced to completely boycott all duties,” they warned. Interestingly, one of the demands of the Junior Doctors is that they need good quality PPE kits and N95 masks.

They allege that they have given several representations in the past six months and the Government did nothing about it.
