The construction of the International Cricket Stadium in Mangalagiri is going on at a brisk pace. The stadium, when completed, will become a center of the attraction for the upcoming capital. The construction is expected to finish in one year.
The plan is to have a Ranji and President’s XI here in the second half of 2018 and an International match by 2019. Andhra Cricket Association is constructing this Stadium with 120 Crore. The Stadium idea was first mooted in 2009 but the construction began only three years ago.
Since the Capital has come up in the area, the stadium idea got the much-needed fillip. The stadium is expected to host 25000-30000 audience. When completed, it will be the second recognized Cricket Stadium in Andhra Pradesh after Vishakapatnam.
