YS Jagan - Amaravati ShiftingReports are emerging that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is contemplating to shift to Vishakapatnam in the first week of July. The officials have already arranged offices for the CMO and other departments of the government.

A posh wellness center will be the Chief Minister’s camp office, as per the rumors. “Amaravati days are numbered,” a source close to the Ruling party said. It will be interesting to see how the Government will bypass all the pending court cases.

Andhra Pradesh High Court had issued a status quo on Amaravati after the farmers who gave their lands in the land pooling approached it. It has been two years since Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power and stalled all the ongoing projects in Amaravati. Even though the government is saying three capitals it is just to overcome the legal hurdles of leaving out Amaravati.

The idea is to have Vishakapatnam as the capital while confining Amaravati only for the assembly sessions. Kurnool becoming the Judicial capital will not make any difference.
