ys jagan - governor Biswabhusan HarichandanBJP-led Central Government tried to brush off its responsibility for the Capital of Andhra Pradesh by categorically saying that deciding a Capital is a subject of the State. Even though AP BJP is supporting Amaravati’s cause, the central leadership is playing a safe game by distancing from the issue.

However, somehow, the ball keeps coming into BJP’s court. Council Chairman, MA Shariff, the other day, met Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and complained that the Council Secretary is not heeding to his ruling about the formation of the Select Committee.

If the Select Committee is formed, the Capital Shift will be stalled at least for three months. It is an open secret that the Central Government micromanages the Governor and it has to be seen what Biswabhusan Harichandan does in this issue.

If at all, the Governor does not take any action on the Secretary, it will mean that BJP is supporting the Three Capitals idea of Jagan Mohan Reddy Government. At the same time, if he does, it will mean TDP will get something to say as they managed to stall the Capital shift at least temporarily.
