Chinta Anuradha won as the Member of Parliament in Amalapuram with a majority of 40K votes. She won against TDP’s candidate, Late GMC Balayogi’s son, Harish Madhur.
Anuradha is a very educated woman and has no political background. Her husband is currently working as a bureaucrat in Andhra Pradesh Government.
Due to his interest in politics, he sent his wife to YSR Congress. She got a ticket in the Reservation quota and won in the Jagan wave.
Since she is a very educated lady, people believed she will transform the face of the district.
Ever since her victory, she has disappeared completely. She has her camp office in her village and even if someone goes there, there is no one to answer.
She does not even have review meetings with officials about the constituency. She is completely cut off from the constituency and is only seen at some marriages and other functions very rarely.
She is also disconnected from the local leaders as well. Her performance in the Gadapa Gadapaku program is also dismal. Local leaders are demanding that she should be denied a ticket in the 2024 elections.
Buzz is that she wants to contest for assembly this time from any SC reserved constituency in the district.
