Daggubati Venkateswara Rao along with his son, Hitesh met Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday at the latter’s Lotus Pond Residence in Hyderabad. Taking to the media after the Meeting, Venkateswara Rao confirmed that his son is interested in joining YSR Congress and will formally join the party very soon.
He also clarified that his wife, Purandeshwari will continue in BJP as long as she is in Politics else would retire. This poses an interesting scenario for Jagan. Previously when Parakala Prabhakar is the media advisor of Andhra Pradesh Government l, his wife Nirmala Sitha Raman is the Minister in Modi’s Cabinet.
Jagan and his Party Leaders would often claim that TDP and BJP have a secret nexus via the couple. This is despite the fact Parakala is not a member of TDP and is only holding an official Position in the Government. Finally Parakala had to resign saying that he does not want to bring disrepute to CM Chandrababu Naidu.
Now, Jagan will face the same scenario if Hitesh is admitted to YSR Congress while his mother Purandeshwari is in BJP. It has to be seen if Jagan will have any answer for such allegations. Already there are allegations that YSR Congress and BJP has a secret nexus and Jagan is dancing to the tunes of Modi and Shah to take immunity from his cases.
