Andhra Pradesh Government had withdrawn the 5% Reservation to the Kapu Community proposed by the previous government. The Government has clarified that it is not feasible to grant 5% Reservation to the Kapu Community in the 10% Quota earmarked to the Economically Weaker Sections.
The Government made that this law enacted by the previous government will not stand the legal scrutiny and so announced that the admissions this year will go on according to the 10% Quota earmarked to the Economically Weaker Sections. This move of Jagan’s Government came as a huge disappointment to the Kapu Community.
Kapu Community voted en masse to YSR Congress in the recent elections despite the presence of a so-called Kapu party in the form of Janasena. But Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that he can not do anything on the Reservation issue.
It has to be seen what Mudragada Padmanabham do now!
