Comedian Ali after so much of drama finally joined YSR Congress Party. He joined the Party in the Presence of Opposition Leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond Residence. Ali who earlier said he will be joining only that party which gives him an MLA ticket and Cabinet Berth finally got compromised.
“I am not contesting in this elections but I will campaign for the party. I will contest if I am given chance in Vijayawada or Rajamahendravaram but Jagan already committed those seats. My Aim is to make Jagan Mohan Reddy the Chief Minister. I could not get the confidence in TDP which I got in YSR Congress,” he told the media after the joining.
Ali hoped to get Guntur East Seat from TDP but Chandrababu Naidu refused it. The local cadre has opposed para-dropping a film actor in the last minute. When asked about why he did not join Janasena, Ali said Pawan Kalyan is his friend but Politics and Friendship are different.
