After Many Tall Claims, KCR Finally Gave UpWith no chance of Corona cases coming down, Telangana Government finally decided to bite the bullet. Telangana Cabinet has decided to go for a partial Lockdown in the state for ten days starting from Wednesday at 10 AM. Most services will be exempt from Lockdown between 6 AM to 10 AM every day.

A strict Lockdown will be enforced every day between 10 AM and 6 AM the next day. A G.O. will be out later in the day with detailed Guidelines for the services that are allowed and that are not allowed. The Chief Minister repeatedly maintained that there is no plan of imposing a Lockdown.

In a recent review meeting, the Chief Minister even said Lockdown did not help any state in decreasing the COVID cases. But then, the situation is as such a Lockdown may be the only way to curb the chain and ease pressure on the medical system. The Government tweaked it to a partial Lockdown considering the economical condition of the state.

Telangana is the last state in the country to go for a Lockdown or Partial Lockdown. On the other side, the cabinet has also decided to go for Global Tenders to procure vaccines to overcome the shortage of the vaccines.
