In February this year, Government employees stormed Vijayawada in big numbers in the name of Chalo Vijayawada and displayed their strength to the government.
The government had to soften its stance and had to accept a few demands. If not for the leaders getting involved with the government, it would have been a huge victory for employees.
Chalo Vijayawada is the biggest success among all the protests after Jagan came to power.
Now, some employee unions have called for Chalo CMO. They are threatening to storm the CMO in Tadepalli against CPS.
Jagan has come to power promising to revoke CPS but has gone back on the promise later.
Police started preventive arrests already and have imposed Section 144 in Vijayawada. They say there is no permission for Chalo CMO, in the wake of the massive success of earlier Chalo Vijayawada.
“Despite the police resistance, we will participate in the program and make it a grand success,” UTF leaders say.
“Going back on the promise and dealing with the protest with an iron fist is nothing but tyranny,” they add.
