After Backlash, Jagan Presses Sakshi to Damage ControlCheers to his Bonhomie with the Telangana Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had taken a decision which invited a lot of flak. Jagan had decided to give away all the buildings in Hyderabad which were allocated to Andhra Pradesh for the use of 10 years.

Chandrababu used to deny giving these Buildings so as to use them as Bargain Chips in other issues. This goodwill gesture of Jagan was extended without extracting anything for Andhra Pradesh. There is the issue of division of the assets and liabilities of institutions under Section 8 and Section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act.

The Supreme Court slashed the argument of Telangana getting right over all the institutions in its territory. The Supreme court gave a ruling that the assets and liabilities are to be divided into population ratio and asked the Center to do the process. But Center would not do that to safeguard the interests of BJP in Telangana.

With no discussion on that, Jagan let these buildings go. Without discussing this in the cabinet or the Assembly, even Governor had issued an Order giving the buildings to Telangana. Caught off the guard after the backlash, Sakshi wrote that the government is planning to ask for the value of the buildings from Telangana. But after the official allocation who would worry about the government’s plan.
