CRDA had finished receiving objections and suggestions over Amaravathi Master Plan. CRDA office in Vijayawada received 8075 objections and suggestions. Tuesday alone, CRDA received more than 1000 objections. Most of the objections are over Agriculture Zone. A committee was formed to look in to these objections.
The committee is expected to take one month to resolve these. 5000 Square Kms area in Capital region was allotted in to three agriculture zones. Villages coming under this zones are very much worried. Already the land rates in this area have gone down. They are worried that the land rates will never go up in the area.
Even ruling party leaders are worried that this proposal will dent the party image in these villages. CRDA officials are expected to give some flexibility in this. But then there are rules about allotting fixed portion of lands in the Capital area under Agriculture Zone. So we will have to see how this will be resolved!
