The farmers who have given their lands feel cheated by the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government in the name of political vendetta with the idea of three capitals. They have hit the streets for 365 days now and they have no one to help.
Both YSR Congress and BJP believes the growth of Amaravati will help Telugu Desam Party politically and so are jointly working to shatter the dream. Even though the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the Capital city, the central government tries to distance the issue for political dividends.
Telugu Desam Party which is shattered with the results they got in the 2019 elections could not muster the strength to take the movement forward. Chandrababu Naidu is also not as aggressive as he should be on the issue fearing the Ruling Party’s Propaganda of TDP being against the development of Uttarandhra and Rayalaseema.
The most pathetic indifference to the farmers who have given their lifetime earnings in the form of lands comes from the Ruling Party. The farmers are insulted just because they wear nice clothes and are chided as Paid Artists. The party which claims to the champion of farmers wants the farmers to be in worn out and torn clothes at the mercy of the Governments like how they are seen in the films. How Ridiculous!
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who reached out to the entire state for that One Chance with his Padayatra do not have the time to talk to the farmers reassuring them of their interests for their sole mistake of trusting the Government. There was a sole namesake meeting of the farmers and the attendees had the followers and relatives of a local YSR Congress MLA.
The Chief Minister did not even make a statement about the farmers leave about reaching out to them. For anyone to understand the pain of the farmers, you only need to be in their shoes having given everything to the farmers and staring at an empty future.
