In what can be termed as a shock to the Election Commission, Unidentified miscreants have put up 30000 Applications for deletion of names from the electoral rolls in just three days. The Election Commission says they have already identified one person and an FIR was filed.
The Election Commission also asked the people to stay calm. “Not a Single name will be deleted unless there is a thorough inquiry into the matter,” they clarified. This comes at the time when YSR Congress and TDP are complaining about each other for deleting the votes of their supporters.
In the Telangana Assembly Elections held in December 2018 as many as 16 Lakh Votes have gone missing. It has created a huge controversy and the State Election Commissioner had to apologize to the people for the mistake. There are several court cases as well. So, EC is becoming extra cautious in Andhra Pradesh.
