The state received about 2,500 cores of new currency in specially chartered flights today. The cash was transported in flights till Tirupati and Visakhapatnam from where it was carried to 13 districts via road.

The arrangement was made by Naidu as an initiative to reduce the troubles of AP citizens for the cash. After the meeting held with the panel members, Naidu called Urjit Patel and talked to him about the scarcity of money in the state, expressing his dissatisfaction towards the cash crunch continued for these many days and requested Patel to send the considerable amount to the state.

Responding to the request of Naidu, Urjit assured to arrange money for the state with which Naidu made necessary arrangements for the capital to be received by the state. He called out to assign two special aircraft and advised bankers to extend their working hours to make sure that money is distributed to ease the people’s job.
