It is known that Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan states are selected for the Central government’s pilot project of providing 24 hours. A team of officials from Energy Efficiency Services Ltd, an affiliate of the Power Ministry, is visiting Hyderabad today. The team will advise several measures to conserve energy and eradicate losses. EESL is a joint venture between NTPC, Powergrid and other PSUs.
The three member team will also put a proposal of Center’s help in the replacement of inefficient pump sets, lighting systems in government buildings and other measures. They say there is a scope of saving of around 20 per cent energy in the areas of domestic, agriculture and government buildings. The team will meet AP Power officials in Lake View Guest House and Vidyuth Soudha in Hyderabad
