Andhra Pradesh and Telangana begin the new year with lot of hopes and aspirations. Both the states have new chief ministers elected by the people with lot of expectations. The first 6-7 months after the state bifurcation mostly passed away in healing the wounds inflicted by the state bifurcation. Chandrababu has the responsibility of taking care of the state which do not have a capital and is burdened by a deficit budget.
On the other side, K Chandrasekhar Rao has the responsibility of extending the development to all the districts of Telangana and achieve what he and his party promised, the ‘Bangaru Telangana’. Easier said than done, the journey of both the states will not be easy as both of them have the funds crunch and are at mercy of a Central government which do not have any need of them.
The major challenge for the two states is fight the animosities between them. Both the Chief Minister do not see eye to eye and if they sit together, many of the bifurcation problems faced today can easily be reduced to half.
