USA-VisaThe US government is on the track to issue more than a million visas for Indians this year to help students coming for the fall semester. The Biden administration is committed to making sure it processes all the student visas of students whose classes start in the fall.

As per US assistant secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Donald Lu, they are also prioritizing H1-B and L visas, the most sought-after by IT professionals from India.

H1-B is a non-immigrant visa that enables US companies to hire Indian software professionals or others in occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise.

In fact, US tech companies depend on India and China to hire tens of thousands of employees every year. Lu also shared that this year’s number is a record number of student and immigration visas.
