Telugu Mahila State President Vangalapudi Anita wrote an open letter to CM Jagan. She has compared YCP to Kaalakeyulu (of Baahubali) for committing atrocities against women.
“The suicide of Machilipatnam VOA Nagalakshmi is a government murder. YCP leader Garikapati Narasimha Rao was behind harassment. But police ignored him even after the complaint of the victim,” Anitha alleged.
“More than 1,500 women have been raped and sexually assaulted in the past three years. Not even a single offender has been convicted under the Disha act. Government’s irresponsibility is the reason for the series of atrocities against girls,” Anitha said.
“What are YSR Congress women MLAs and ministers doing when girls are being assaulted? It is sad that there is no protection to women in the state even though the Home Minister is a woman,” the former MLA criticized.
“Mahatma Gandhi used to say India is really independent only when girls can roam freely on roads at midnight. Jagan showed keep his hand on the heart and say if that is possible under his rule. I am writing this letter as a woman and with a heavy heart,” Anitha wrote.
