14-Year-Old Case of Lakshmi Parvathi on Chandrababu Is Now RevivedACB court in Hyderabad agreed to revive a 14-year-old case on the alleged disproportionate assets amassed by Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. This case was filed by YSR Congress Leader Lakshmi Parvathi way back in 2005. The High Court back then issued a stay on the court proceedings.

Following the recent directive of the Supreme Court that stays in the criminal cases would be deemed not stayed if the stay is more than six months old, the ACB court revived the case. The court went on to say that the case is being revived as Chandrababu Naidu did not obtain a fresh stay.

The next hearing of the case is posted to the 25th of this month. The case also agreed to record the complainant Lakshmi Parvathi’s statement in this case. It is known that Lakshmi Parvathi was appointed as the General Secretary of the YSR Congress before the elections. She was nominated as the Telugu Academy chairperson.

Many believe that Lakshmi Parvathi filed this case our of malice on her son-in-law. Her animosity with Naidu is well-known. It has to be seen if that stands in the court. If Chandrababu comes out clean in this case, his image will only get better. For now, YSR Congress will rejoice this moment.
