APSRTC-RevenueRTC employees celebrated the merger of the corporation then, but that decision may be threatening the existence of the corporation completely now.

A few months ago, the Government has directed one-fourth of the RTC’s revenue to be deposited to the state exchequer. This decision has come as a shocker to the corporation.

Now, the Government wants the entire 100% revenue minus the Diesel expenses.

RTC currently collects around 16 Crore Rupees per day. If this happens, the corporation should go to the Government with a begging bowl for everything.

Besides Diesel expenses, RTC has other expenses like maintenance, repairs, payments to rented buses, salaries of outsourcing employees, repayment of loans, interests, etc.

The Government will use this money to fund the freebies and will delay payments to the corporation to make things worse.

RTC is already suffering due to severe losses as bad roads in the state are resulting in major repairs to the buses. The Government charges Road cess on Petrol and Diesel and never uses them for roads. It will be also the case with the revenue taken from RTC. That may totally endanger the existence of the RTC.
