To clear the nuisance on the streets, the road safety authorities in New York City on June 21st crushed close to 100 bikes. In those, most bikes are said to be caught during illegal rides and literally crushed using bulldozers.
As per the officials, they took a call to crush the vehicles after receiving multiple complaints from the residents.
These bikes are said to be causing a disturbance with loud noise and creating a panicking atmosphere on the streets. Records say that this year so far, the NYPD has eradicated about 900 bikes and ATVs off the streets.
Reportedly, the will scrap metal items from after the crush will be used for recycling. They will not be resold either because they might return to roads and create more disturbance time and again.
