One of the most prestigious festivals, Cannes Film Festival invites some of the world’s greatest actors. This year our favourite actor across languages – Pooja Hegde will be making her debut at the annual festival while also representing the country.
The likes of Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Priyanka Chopra charmed its red carpet and attended the celebrations of films across the globe. Pooja will be the first female Pan India star to be gracing the event. Here’s everything you may not have known about her Cannes trip.
The Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo actor will be flying to France on the 16th of May. She will be attending the festival on the 17th and 18th of May and she will be present at the after-party that hosts some of the most celebrated actors worldwide. Given her impeccable sartorial sense, it is certain that she will emerge as the red carpet darling.
A source reveals, “India will be prominently visible throughout the festival this year and Pooja is honoured to be invited. Pooja is thrilled that Indian films will be showcased and that content from India will be discussed. As Indian cinema is making strides on the content front, Pooja is happy to represent what the country has to offer.”
On the work front, Pooja is gearing up to shoot for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali with Salman Khan and dive into the promotional spree for Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus. She also has SSMB28 opposite Mahesh Babu on her slate.
