Masooda, which released last weekend took a very slow start on Day 1. Many from the trade expected the film to sink without a trace like every other small film which released recently. Contrary to popular belief, the film started making an upwards turnaround right from it’s day 2 thanks to it’s positive word of mouth. Over the weekend, the film posted good numbers with Day 3 being more than Day 2.
Post the weekend, the film grew from strength to strength with Day 4 and Day 5 registering even better numbers. Leading distributor acquired the AP and Telangana rights of the film for Rs. 2 crores. Now going by the trend, the film is set to collect the full 2 crores from Telangana alone. The collections coming from Andhra Pradesh will be profits for Dil Raju and the producer Rahul Yadav.
Masooda once again proves that the Telugu audience lap up films that are to their liking no matter the size and cast of the film.
