A lot of today’s Gen Z guys have no love lost for marriage. They see it as an unnecessary burden and a ticket to domestic slavery. The promo song of ‘Kalyanam Kamaneeyam’ is a Wedding Anthem that captures this thinking and also presents marital bliss as the most desirable.
Coming with a cameo by Sharwanand (the ‘Oke Oka Jeevitham’ actor supports the movie in a creative way), the Sri Charan Pakala-composed song is thoroughly enjoyable. After the story-driven songs (read ‘Oh Manasa’, ‘Ayyo Ento’ and ‘Ho Egire’) from the movie, the Wedding Anthem works even as a standalone song. Yash’s choreography and Krishna Kanth’s lyrics are among its highlights. Suresh Sarangam’s cinematography adds to its beauty.
Starring Santosh Shoban prominently, the promo song was today released by Prabhas.
The film’s director, Anil Kumar Aalla, has woven a nice conflict plot point around a jobless husband named Shiva and his working wife Shruti (Priya Bhavani Shankar). Watch out for this Sankranthi release in theatres. It hits the cinemas on January 14. It is produced by UV Concepts.
